Project: Road to Shangri-La (Edition 1)
Location: Kathmandu to Mustang
Status: Annual Flagship Event (Launched Dec 2025)
The Vision
Road to Shangri-La is more than just a motorcycle expedition; it is a "Ride with a Purpose." This initiative was launched to bridge the gap between adventure and philanthropy, bringing together artists, friends, and like-minded individuals from across the globe. The goal is to raise vital funds for our ongoing grassroots projects—such as Warm Smiles and Art For Heart—while offering participants a life-changing journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Nepal.
The Journey
In its inaugural year, 15 riders representing different nations set off from the bustling streets of Kathmandu, carving their way through the rugged terrain toward the ancient kingdom of Mustang. The expedition pushed both riders and machines to their limits, fostering a deep sense of camaraderie and global solidarity.
Impact in Motion
The highlight of the journey was a stop at Nalanda Buddhist School in Tukuche. This provided a unique opportunity for our riders to see the impact of their support firsthand:
-
Direct Interaction: Riders personally handed out Art For Heart packages to the students.
-
Cultural Exchange: Participants spent time interacting with the children, sharing stories, and witnessing the resilience of the Mustang community.
-
Sustainable Fundraising: The funds raised during this edition have been directly allocated to the next phases of our winter clothing and education initiatives.
The Future
This was no ordinary motorcycle trip—it was a mission on wheels. Following the success of Year 1, Road to Shangri-La will return as an annual event. We invite those seeking adventure and impact to watch this space for the next edition.
